The Baix Llobregat Campus (CBL) of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), is located in the Mediterranean Technology Park (PMT) in the Baix Llobregat area, in the town of Castelldefels, near the Olympic Canal, 10 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from Barcelona and 5 minutes from the beach. It has, therefore, good communications with Barcelona, its metropolitan area and the airport.

Although the Campus-PMT is considered "green space without cars" and traffic is not allowed throughout the campus, there is a public car park next to the Olympic Canal.

Accomodation will be in the residence Pius Font i Quer (link) which is next to the campus (same indications to arrive there as for the campus; see below). Included in your registration, you will have a room in this residence for the whole duration of the summer school.

• From the Airport
  • From Airport - El Prat (T1)
    • Bus company MOHN (yellow) has several buses connecting Castelldefels to Barcelona, the airport and other towns of Baix Llobregat. The journey depends on the line. Its frequency is usually 30 minutes.
      • L99 - Castelldefels (Santiago Rusiñol) - Aeroport Terminal T1 (this journey is approximately 30 minutes long)

  • From Airport - El Prat (T2)
    • There is a shuttle that connects T2 with T1 and stops next to L99; see above (* recommended way)
    • T2 is connected to Castelldefels through train. Assistants taking this option will need to switch train lines in El Prat de Llobregat (next stop after the airport) and take the train line R2-South (trains with destination Castelldefels, Vilanova i la Geltrú and St. Vicenç de Calders)

    

  • Taxis are always also an option from any of both Airport Terminals. The cost is around 20-25 euros. You should ask the driver to take you to the UPC campus in Castelldefels, it is just in front of the olimpic chanel.
• From Barcelona:
  • The train station (RENFE-Rodalies Castelldefels) will fare zone 1 and is about 300m from the Campus. The journey on foot (about 5 minutes) is marked by sign posts (PMT-Campus UPC). The train ride is usually 20 minutes from Sants station in Barcelona (25 minutes from Passeig de Gràcia), using the line R2-South (trains with destination Castelldefels, Vilanova i la Geltrú and St. Vicenç de Calders stop there) which has a frequency of four to six trains per hour.
