The Department of Computer & Network Engineering belongs to the
Department of Information Technologies of the
Faculty of Engineering of the
Université Libre de Bruxelles
(ULB).
The group's current research focuses on conceptual modeling,
spatio-temporal databases, bio-informatics,
and wireless mobile telecommunications networks.
The Department of Computer & Network Engineering has a close collaboration with the
Information Systems
Unit (ISYS) of the
Management School
of the Université
catholique de Louvain. Also, the department collaborates actively
with the
Database Laboratory of the
Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
(EPFL) at Lausanne.
The department is also partner of the research project
BioMaze
(Software for the storage, visualization and analysis of
bio-chemical networks). The BioMaze project is funded
by the Wallonia Region in Belgium.
